In a very unfortunate turn of events actor Paul Walker, who is best known for his iconic role as fast-driving cop Brian O’Connor, died in a car crash in Santa Clarita, California on Saturday.
Walker was leaving a charity event with former racecar driver and business partner Roger Rodas. Paul Walker was riding in the passenger seat of a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that lost control and slammed into a light pole and burst into flames.
Vin Diesel, who co-starred with Walker in five of the soon-to-be seven films in the Fast & Furious franchise, expressed his grief on Instagram, stating that he was “absolutely speechless.”
Many of Walker’s co-stars from the Fast & Furious franchise expressed their condolences on Social Media.
The seventh installment in the Fast & Furious series has been delayed, but will not be abandoned entirely and is scheduled to release on July 11th. Universal and the team behind Fast 7 will be meeting to discuss any possible rewrites and necessary edits that would be respectful to Walker’s death.
