Once Upon A Time, a favorite among Disney fans, appears to be bringing in more guest stars and new characters for the rest of season four. The show recently concluded its Frozen storyline when it paused for the first half of the season and is adding to the new cast.
The major plot line carrying over at the end of the first part of season four relates to the storybook. Regina and Henry were previously looking for the mysterious author behind it, and just brought Emma on board for the search. The Queens of Darkness, Ursula, Maleficent, and Cruella De Vil, were also introduced in the finale, and will be the villains in the second part of the season.
The latest casting for the show is Sebastian Roche, who is set to play King Stefan, the father of Aurora. It has also been said that he has a complicated past with Maleficent, which may be how he is brought into the show.
With the recent announcement that Eion Bailey will be returning to Once Upon A Time as Pinocchio/August Booth, there has also been speculation that he might be the author. He was last seen in the season 2 episode “Selfless, Brave and True,” and was restored to his 7-year-old self at the time.
Sebastian Roche has previously been seen in several other genre television shows. Other notable shows include The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Supernatural, and Fringe, in addition to several guest starring roles.
In addition to Roche and Bailey, other guests have been added such as Ernie Hudson, who is set to play Poseidon, and JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who will reprise her role as Ariel. Ariel was last seen in the episode “The Jolly Roger,” during the Peter Pan story of the show.
Once Upon A Time continues to build the suspense and invite fans to theorize about what the remainder of season four will be about prior to its release. The show will return on Sunday, March 1st at 8 p.m., and airs on ABC.
