Happy Valentine’s Day – the good news is if you are in a relationship it will likely make it through this month, according to Facebook.
Facebook data scientists analyzed the relationship statuses of US Facebook Users from 2008 to 2011. The study included only relationships lasting at least 3 months, Users 23 years or older and only included “single” people, not “married.”
Turns out Facebook can tell you whether or not a relationship will go the distance.
Facebook can’t say exactly when your relationship will end or how long it will last, but it can predict that the longer you’ve been with your partner, the more likely you are to stay together. Break-ups usually peak in the summer and drop around Valentine’s Day.
So, even if you have not been with your partner very long as of today – chances are your relationship will make it through your Valentine’s Dinner!
