PDX Pet Design: Quick Company Overview

PDX Pet Design helps pet owners improve their cat’s life. The one product SHRU, an intelligent cat companion, helps keep a cat moving an active while owners are away from home.

The device, which costs $119, also helps improve brainpower and keep cats occupied for hours with its long-lasting battery.

Their other product, which went viral after launching on Kickstarter last year, is a brush that allows owners to lick their cat. The Licki Brush, which costs $25, helps bring owners closer to their furry friend by providing a form of social bonding, thus developing a more intimate relationship. The brush can also be used on dogs, bunnies and more.

In 2013, they sought to “create the ultimate cat companion that truly satisfies and entertains” while owners are gone for the day.

The Sharks React to PDX Pet Design’s Crazy Product Idea

After believing the Licki Brush was a joke, they tell the sharks they’ve sold about $300,000 worth of products and believe it’s going to go viral But they think the SHRU costs way too much.

Projected sales are $180,000 for the year.

Lori Greiner first goes out for believing the sales did not match up with the viral nature of the one product, followed by Robert Herjavec and Daymond John for thinking they came in asking for too much

. Mark Cuban also admits there could have been more potential had they come in with a lower valuation and goes out. Kevin O’Leary can’t get past the valuation either and goes out.
