Mia Farrow accidentally tweeted a picture of her adopted daughter, Quincy, with the search term she used, “Mia Farrow and her black children,” still visible on top of the tweet.
Farrow posted the picture of Quincy Farrow on her Twitter feed Monday to tell her happy 21st birthday, but she didn’t notice the search term she had used still attached to the photo on top:
You'd think @miafarrow would have a photo of her daughter without having to google it…with such an awkward search pic.twitter.com/V5sjT92zJ5
— Nick Carbone (@nickcarbone) January 19, 2015
After the tweet was pointed out by Nick Carbone, among others, Farrow corrected her mistake and sent out a new version of the photo:
Happy 21st birthday to Birthday to my awesome daughter, Quincy Farrow pic.twitter.com/lgtAAO2AJF
— mia farrow (@MiaFarrow) January 19, 2015
Farrow also responded to Carbone’s tweet, saying she didn’t use the “black children” search term:
.@MiaFarrow, re: that pic: @nickcarbone nah. I took the photo myself & posted it before. Then someone sent it to me & I didn't check source.

Carbone didn’t buy the excuse, nor is anyone else.
The 69-year old actress has been active on Twitter for years, using the platform effectively and is typically praised for her humanitarianism. Recently, Farrow has been at the center of controversy surrounding her son, Ronan Farrow, who was allegedly director Woody Allen’s child but bears a striking resemblance to Frank Sinatra. Allen brought up the striking resemblance between Ronan and Sinatra while defending himself against Farrow’s allegations that he molested their daughter, Dylan Farrow, over twenty years ago.
Mia Farrow has a total of thirteen children, the majority of whom are adopted and of all different nationalities for the most part. Nobody could be reached for a comment regarding her “black children” online faux pas.
