Are you a Hobbit or Lord of the Rings fan? Chances are you’ve read the books and/or watched the films at some point. Middle Earth looks a pretty magical (if slightly dangerous) place, doesn’t it? Well just think what it would be like to actually live there. Well thanks to this infographic you can imagine what it would be like to try and get on to the Middle Earth property ladder and move in with Bilbo or even Gollum. This isn’t just any old guide to the homes of Middle Earth though. This is what it might look like if the homes were actually up for sale and you were thinking of buying one.

Of course there is Bag End, Bilbo and Frodo’s famous home, but then there is a host of other properties available, including Isengard, Rivendell, Minas Tirith and Gollum’s cave, although that last one has been on the market for a while now. Each has an impressively detailed design and floor plan, so you can get an idea of the full layout of each property, a list of the previous occupants and a full description of the property and all its features to help you decide if it’s the property for you. No details on price but I think we can assume Rivendell might be a little pricey.

With the final film in the Hobbit trilogy, The Battle of the Five Armies, set to be released this Christmas, Tolkien fans are sure to be getting more and more excited as each day passes and this is something a little different that is sure to cause some discussion amongst the community. Those involved with the housing sector might also have a little chuckle at it as they no doubt recognise some of the language used, although they might have a tough time selling some of those properties.

So if you had the choice, where would you live?
