It’s important that a Facebook page builds trust, provides relevant content and positions you as an expert in your niche, making likes an integral part of your Facebook marketing strategy.

Facebook is the world’s biggest social network and it must still play a huge part in all brand’s marketing strategies – with more than 2.3 Billion monthly active users, you’d be stupid to ignore it.

In the remainder of this 500 word article, I’m going to hand you a tactic that will massively increase your Facebook page like and follower count.

This tactic not only increases the number of people who like your page, but it also provides an engaged audience who really like your stuff – making Facebook a potential lead and sales generating machine.

Let’s get into this:

As with most modern marketing tactics, this strategy begins with creating awesome content and it works in 6 steps, here they are:

  1. First and foremost, your content needs to offer value on Facebook. This means sharing the full post on the platform. It does NOT mean just posting a link to a full blog or a short video clip. Your goal should be to give as much value as you can without asking users for anything in return (like clicking a link).
  2. Provide value in the form of entertainment or education. Your high-value content should be in written or video medium. The more value you put into your content, the more likes you’ll get.
  3. Access Facebook Business Manager and promote this valuable content that asks for nothing in return with a small budget (e.g., $5 per day) under the ‘Engagement’ campaign objective (be sure to select the ‘Existing Post’ option). If you have enough data, use a lookalike audience based on your current page likes. If not, choose an interest-based audience that matches your target audience.
  4. Pin the post to the top of your Facebook page and let the ad run for a day or two.
  5. Come back to the post on your Facebook page and click on the ‘likes’ number (e.g. 452). Then go through every single person on this list who has not liked your page and click on the ‘Invite’ button beside their name.
  6. Wait for your post likes to become new page likes

The best thing about this tactic is that it clearly targets and defines your audience, think about it: why would somebody like your industry specific post, if they didn’t have an interest in your industry?

An audience built this way tends to engage a lot with your future posts and helps generate tons of new leads (it has for us!)

This is just one of many tactics that I used to grow our brand’s Facebook page from 0 to more than 50,000 in its first 6 months of existence. If you’d like to find out more, including tons of strategies that don’t include any spend, check out Facebook Page Likes: How to Get 1000s for Free.
