The difference between a website that converts and one that doesn’t could be nothing more than how well your contact page is designed.
Nick Reese recently conducted a survey of nearly 2,000 websites to analyze the state of their contact pages and the results weren’t pretty. The following results are from the survey.
Based on a survey of 1,886 websites, we found:
- Only 8.7% of companies used pre-qualification questions on their contact or Hire Me pages. [Tweet This]
- 40% had lackluster statements such as “please contact us” or “we’d love to hear from you”. [Tweet This]
- 38% of companies offered just an email address or a tiny contact form buried at the bottom of their website.
It’s unlikely these companies are seeing great results from their websites in the category of lead conversion. If you think these stats might be representative of your company’s website, taking time to redesign your contact page should be a top priority.
Fortunately, Reese also created an amazing infographic that walks you through every step of creating the perfect contact page.
