Fidgetland

First into the tank is Jason “Fidget Man” Burns of Fidgetland, seeking $50,000 for 10 percent equity.

Fidgetland is a fidget-toy-lover’s paradise. Fidget toys are meant to help people with ADHD, autism and anxiety and the company offers a plethora of fidget toy options. The toys feature interlocking rings and silicone bands that are perfect for both adults in the workplace and kids at school alike. Some of their toys include Noah, Rizzle, Stephie, Ninny and Chaney. According to their website, “Kids who need to fidget will love these and benefit, while their teachers and parents will love them too.” Prices range from $8 to $15 for jumbo-sized fidget toys.

Since 2007, they have sold 50,000 fidget toys and done approximately $500,000 in sales. Burns, who has ADD, quit his job to focus on Fidgetland full time, which was important in such a competitive market. Robert Herjavec admits that it’s soothing to play with the toy. Mark Cuban doesn’t know how he could help and goes out.

Lori Greiner says she’s not having a good “fidgeting experience” and goes out, followed by Kevin O’Leary. He admits that it’s “infectious,” but thinks it’s just too small. Barbara Corcoran, who also has a learning disability, likes that she can personally relate to Burns and offers $50,000 for 20 percent to be spent on marketing efforts. Herjavec likes the fidget toy and even admits that it calmed him down during the pitch. He offers $50,000 for 15 percent. Ultimately, he counters Corcoran at 15 percent, which she declines. Burns, however, still accepts her original offer.

Social Media Reacts to Fidgetland’s Appearance on “Shark Tank”

Each week on “Shark Tank,” budding entrepreneurs have the opportunity to pitch their emerging businesses to multi-millionaire and billionaire investors, known as sharks: Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks; Daymond John, fashion mogul and founder of FUBU; Kevin O’Leary, self-proclaimed Mr. Wonderful and founder of O’Leary Financial Group; Barbara Corcoran, real estate maven; Lori Greiner, queen of QVC; and Robert Herjavec, technology guru and founder/CEO of the Herjavec Group.

Philanthropist and Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, Spanx founder Sara Blakely, Skinnygirl Cocktails founder and Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel, Vitamin Water founder Rohan Oza and former MLB player Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez are also slated to appear as guest sharks this season.

“Shark Tank,” which is based on “Dragons’ Den,” is produced by Mark Burnett and first debuted in 2009. To date, the sharks have invested more than $100 million in various companies after engaging in numerous bidding wars and shark fights. A new episode airs each Sunday at 9 p.m. on ABC.
