Toy Story 4 Confirmed

Toy Story 4 has been confirmed for a June 2017 release date. The movie has been in production for almost over three years, but we now know when it will arrive.

Tom Hanks, who voices Woody, announced that Toy Story 4 will be coming back in 2011. He was asked if the film is being planned and replies with, “I think there will be, yeah. They’re working on it now.” Today we officially have the month and year it will come out.

Toy Story 4 has been confirmed for a June 2017 release date, seeing Bob Iger, Walt Disney’s chief executive officer, has made the announcement today during a during a conference call with investors. John Lasseter, who directed the first and second Toy Story, will helm the fourth film.

Iger says, “John created Toy Story and directed the first two films, and it’s great to have him back directing one of our most valuable properties,” about the return of the original director.

Lasseter’s last project is Cars 2, which didn’t sit well with critics. He’s also attached to direct Cars 3, but he is probably looking to redeem himself by directing the fourth Toy Story.

Toy Story 4 doesn’t have an announced synopsis yet, but you can expect Tom Hanks and Tim Allen to return to voice Woody and Buzz Lightyear. The way Toy Story 3 ended makes you assume that Andy will not a main character this time around, and Bonnie who Andy has handed his toys over to will take his place.

Toy Story 4 has a lot of ground to cover, seeing that the third one is a critically acclaimed film, and is considered the best one in the series. The end of Toy Story 3 made grown people cry, and they are probably hoping to shed happy tears again.
