North Korea Denies Hacking Sony, Warns US Of A Worse Fate

North Korea threatens the United States, claiming that an attack on US ‘citadels’ will be coming soon. The report says the assault will dwarf the hacking attack that caused Sony Pictures to cancel ‘The Interview’, which North Korea thinks the US government is responsible for creating.

The message is published in English on KCNA, and North Korea’s threat is meant for the US. They deny hacking Sony, and the report accuses President Obama of calling for ‘symmetric counteraction’.

“The DPRK has already launched the toughest counteraction. Nothing is more serious miscalculation than guessing that just a single movie production company is the target of this counteraction. Our target is all the citadels of the U.S. imperialists who earned the bitterest grudge of all Koreans.”

North Korea’s threat says an attack on the White House, Pentagon, and US mainland will happen.

“The army and people of the DPRK are fully ready to stand in confrontation with the U.S. in all war spaces including cyber warfare space to blow up those citadels.

Our toughest counteraction will be boldly taken against the White House, the Pentagon and the whole U.S. mainland, the cesspool of terrorism, by far surpassing the “symmetric counteraction” declared by Obama.”

Obama has called the hacking attack on Sony Pictures an ‘act of cybervandalism’, and not war. North Korea has been revealed as the culprit behind ‘The Interview’ not being released, and he has gone on to say:

“We’ve got very clear criteria as to what it means for a state to sponsor terrorism. And we don’t make those judgments just based on the news of the day. We look systematically at what’s been done and based on those facts, we’ll make those determinations in the future.”

Do you think the United States should worry about North Korea’s threat, or is the Kim Jong-un led country just seeking attention?
