A 38-year old man on a bike bled to his death, after being rammed by an unknown car on Saturday. His friends are determined to find the driver with the help of social media. A website was created soon after and a cash reward of Rs. 25,000 was declared to help find his killer, which has now raised to one lakh rupees.

The accident victim, Vinit Sancheti had been riding on his Yamaha on the JNPT Road in Panvel on Saturday around 4 pm, when the car hit him and fled away. Vinit lay bleeding on the road before the police arrived and took him to the hospital. He was later declared dead where the cause of death was determined as haemorrhagic shock due to polytrauma. The wheel cap of the killer’s car has been found at the site, and investigations are on to find the owner of the car.

The site titled ‘Justice4Vinit’ is being shared through Facebook and Twitter, from where it has been picked up by mainstream media too. The reward has now been raised to one lakh rupees with people ready to contribute to the cause. Besides, they have created a Facebook community page of the same name – ‘Justice4Vinit‘, where regular updates on the case are being shared. The page has garnered 1.4K likes with wall updates receiving a good response from the community. One can also follow the hashtag #Justice4Vinit on Twitter to stay updated and spread the cause.
