On the result’s episode of American Idol on Thursday, April 4, Carrie Underwood returned to perform live. Underwood had won the show a few years ago and is actually the best-selling “American Idol” winner in the U.S. She has achieved ten number one singles in her first two albums, and is the only country music artist from “American Idol” to do so.

Carrie Underwood has had a very successful career since winning the popular television show. She has had three major concert tours. In 2008, she had the “Carnival Ride Tour,” in 2010 she had the “Play on Tour,” and Last year was the “Blown Away Tour.” Those three years that she had those tours, she was the top-ranked country female touring artist. Her “Blown Away Tour” is still going on through 2013, and will go until May 23. Her latest singles “Blown Away” and “Two Black Cadillacs” have been in the number one spot for the last week on the major country airplay charts. This makes it her seventeenth number one single and she has now had eight number ones as a songwriter.

In addition to all of this, she is now a six-time Grammy winner. She won Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year twice, Country Music Association three times, and she is a ACM Female Vocalist winner.

Ryan Seacrest introduced her by saying, “The one and only Carrie Underwood.” She came on stage looking gorgeous, as she always does, in a coral gown. She sang her new single “See You Again” and won over the crowd who seemed to love every minute of it. Her performance was definitely not a disappointment. She belted out her song and knocked it out of the park. Fans were definitely happy to see Carrie Underwood return to “American Idol,” even if it was just for the night.
