Twitter is all about connecting with the right people. I learned this about 3 years ago when I stopped following the masses and decided to only follow the best people. Now Twitter has made that all worth-while.
Twitter announced on its Twitter Blog site, July 6, 2012 some new search features. This feature below is my favorite and works great. Now, you can search from your terms from the masses and the specific people you follow. This really cuts through the clutter, especially if you want to engage with one of your followers or friends on a particular topic.
Results from people you follow: In addition to seeing ‘All’ or ‘Top’ Tweets for your search, you can also now see Tweets about a given topic from only the people you follow when you select the ‘People you follow’ view. Viewing Tweets about a topic from just the people you follow is a great way to find useful information and join the conversation. Source Twitter Blog: Simpler Search
Check it out! I was really surprised how well this item work. I actually believe this new feature is where Google wants to get to with its integration with Google+. Kudos to Twitter for staying on top of the search game and integrating social media engagement at the same time.
