If you answered yes, welcome to a post that can add a little insight into how to make this happen for your brand!
Twitter engagement doesn’t have to be a mystery, and I’m going to do my best to help you out with a couple of tips that can get you started in the right direction.
The key to engaging Twitter users is all in the tweet
One of the best ways to engage Twitter users, according to top SEO services companies, is still to keep cranking out the best tweets you possibly can. I have a post on my blog that you can check out on the anatomy of a perfect tweet if you would like more information about getting the most benefit from your daily tweets by watching what you put into them.
Today I want to focus on hashtags, one of the elements of a perfect tweet that has a lot of potential for increasing user engagement.
Hashtags are used to help sort and categorize tweets so that even users who are not following you stand a chance of finding your tweets if they are searching for terms relevant to what you’re publishing. By including a few relevant hashtags you can easily increase your engagement rates as you attract new users to your content.
For an additional boost, try Twitter chats
Twitter makes it super simple to find a chat you might like to participate in – their Master Chat List is available as a Google Doc and open to anyone who wants to take a peek.
Ideally, Twitter chats are designed to connect users who are interested in a topic so that they can exchange information in (pretty darn close to) real time, all by logging on, typing the name of your chat destination as a hashtag, clicking “All” and watching as the tweets scroll by.
Depending on your industry and your interests there are plenty of different chats you can participate in. And don’t worry about confusing followers or confining yourself to a specific type of chat. Just make sure that it is easy to connect your brand to the chat you’re participating in. An example would be an auto dealership brand participating in a chat focusing on auto sales.
Twitter chats help you increase user engagement by promoting your brand and creating brand awareness. You’re also keeping your finger on the pulse of your industry, and by participating in the right chats at the right times you can easily gain new followers who are interested in what you have to say!
Your takeaway
There are a lot of different ways out there that you can test out and use to increase your overall Twitter engagement numbers. The two I’ve mentioned today are very popular because they’re things that you can begin pursuing right away without having to do much else apart from preparing a consistent brand voice for your Twitter activity. Beyond that, it’s all up to you!
