Long Island serial killer's victims?

The time has come for us to be straightforward with ourselves: America likes serial killers. If America did not like serial killers, you would probably stop reading this. Furthermore, if America did not like serial killers, it would not make movies called “How to Be a Serial Killer” and “American Psycho.”

CBS reports that bodies number nine and ten were discovered near Zach’s Bay at the park and at a bird sanctuary off of Ocean Parkway Monday, respectively. A law enforcement source told CBS News, “We may have two or more killers out there.” The FBI has determined that the suspect is male, white, between the ages of 25 and 40. Furthermore, this bogyman is bright, witty, and street smart.

The aggressor’s prototype? Young prostitutes in their twenties. Oh, and one child just because he can. The four bodies found in December have been identified as Amber Lynn Costello, 27; Megan Waterman, 22; Maureen Brainard-Barnes, 28; and Melissa Barthelemy, 24.

What drives our nation’s fascination with this specific type of darkness? Stanford News Service said that it may enable fantasy about being such an aggressor or such a victim in order to escape reality. Oh, and when we are finished with our jaded daydream, we can always tell ourselves “Thank God I’m not like him!”

The essential fear-inducing statements have been released, “To find all these bodies here, we’re shocked. We’re a close community, leave our doors unlocked,” one neighbor said. Furthermore, Det. Lt. Kevin Smith told 1010 WINS’ Mona Rivera, “For anyone to come out and say that it’s a specific person, a specific occupation, or a specific type is unfair and I think it’s mere suspicion, it’s mere speculation.” He added, “Right now, it could be anybody.”
