We looked at Santa’s festive progress last year. This year, we’re looking at his reindeer, in terms of their social media standing in the run up to Christmas.
History graph to show mentions of each reindeer
We see here that Cupid is the least mentioned reindeer and that Dasher experienced a sudden spike on December 17th. This is thanks to a reindeer race at Kempton racecourse featuring all nine reindeer where Dasher stormed to victory. (Full story and video here courtesy of Sky News).
If we remove Rudolph from the group, we get a clearer picture of how the other reindeer measure up.
History graph to show all reindeer except Rudolph.
We see here that Cupid is the least mentioned reindeer and that Dasher experienced a sudden spike on December 17th. This is thanks to a win at a real reindeer race at Kempton racecourse.
Number of mentions isn’t everything if they are all negative, so let’s pitch them antler to antler in a Brandwatch battle of sentiment.
