Jane’s carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park is a family favorite. The cost is $2 and it’s always crowded. But oddly the line is very short.
The Story
As children. There is a charm of the carousel. Could it be the dizzying melody? The circular journey? Or perhaps the random multicolored collection of horses?
Or is the child simply in awe of the carousels majestic stature? Does his mind wander into a playland of ultimate possibilities? Is he the brave knight flying through the scary forest. To slay the dreadful robot that terrifies the dinosaur-people?
Or is he lost in the moment? Experiencing the happiness, joy and bliss of being with his pappi? Does it really matter? Does it matter whether he’s slaying robots or lost in the moment?
What matters most is the bliss you fill his heart with. And the memories that he will cherish for the entirety of his life.
