This capture was taken at The Don Vicente Hotel. A Historic inn — located in Tampa, Florida.
The Story
Unfortunately, I did not take this capture. The credit for the RAW images goes to RC Concepcion. He is a Latino photographer that I am hoping will do an interview, soon, with Latinos Behind The Lens.
So this is a 7 exposure image. RC provided the RAW images and posted them on Google+. He challenged the community — to download the RAW files and to do our HDR best. So there were a number of bracketed captures of this room. But the one that caught my attention was this part of the room.
I loved the setup — the desk, the lamp, the wood floor and being able to see into the next room. My imagination began to run wild. After a little bit of research I came to find out that The Don Vicente Hotel was once the Gonzales Clinic. And the story goes that Mystery Nurse haunts the secret tunnels winding under Ybor Street.
But enough pomp and circumstance :-)
Technical Stuff
So I ran the 7 exposures through HDR Efex Pro and then Lightroom 4. I wanted a “real” looking finished product. So I kept away from any surreal look.
