iPhone 14 Pro Shakiness and Rattling Makes TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram Unusable

The users of the newly released iPhone 14 Pro are already complaining of issues with the camera. It now seems like most of the third-party apps were not proactive in adjusting to the new camera technology of the phone; hence, users cannot take images for apps such as Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok.

iPhone 14 Pro users complain of camera problems

Some of the complaints that users have raised are that the camera shakes, rattles, and even makes physical noises when used for the aforementioned third-party apps. The users complain about issues with the latest iPhone device on social media platforms such as Twitter and Reddit.

In one of the Reddit discussions, a user said that their camera shook uncontrollably when they opened Snapchat or after attempting to use the camera for Instagram. However, the user added there were no issues when using the iPhone camera app.

Another user who complained of the issue said that the camera produced actual noises when shaking. Another user also said that the mechanical noise appeared after they opened Snapchat.

Other users have also joined the discussions, and they are all complaining of similar issues when they use the camera for third-party apps such as Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok. Social media is also filled with users’ videos showing how their iPhone 14 Pro cameras behave.

In the videos, it is evident that the camera of the iPhone 14 Pro shakes when it is used for third-party apps. The physical camera section also makes a rattling noise when some of the apps are opened. Most videos showing the software problems faced by users of the new iPhone 14 Pro camera have been shared on TikTok.

Apple YouTuber, Luke Miani, was also among those who shared their experience with the new iPhone. Miani posted a video on Twitter showing the camera being utterly blurry and making some noises.

The issue is exclusive to third-party apps

Currently, the camera issue seems exclusive to when the iPhone 14 Pro camera is used with third-party apps. Most of the complaints raised on social media have affirmed that the problem is only witnessed in social media apps such as Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok.

Given that this issue is exclusive to these apps, it could be a software bug. The iPhone 14 Pro introduced changes to its camera technology, and it could be that the third-party apps did not do anything to accommodate the changes. Additionally, the physical noises on the camera module could be attributed to issues such as optical image stabilization.

Currently, no solution has been provided to fix the issue. However, because it is clear that the regular iPhone 14 app is working normally, the responsibility for solving the issue lies with the third-party apps, and they could issue updates soon to solve the problem.

Moreover, it is still unclear whether the camera shakiness and rattling noises cause any damage to the camera itself. Any damages could mean unthinkable losses for the early buyers of the phone, given that it goes for above $1000.
