Recently valued at $2 billion in its latest funding round, Instacart is teaming up with the widely used recipe-platform Yummly for a joint grocery delivery service. Yummly itself, is a booming recipe delivery platform with over 15 million active users.

This partnership will help users of the Yummly iOS app, allowing them to choose recipes and have the ingredients delivered within an hour. With just one click, customers can buy all the items needed for a Yummly recipe and receive them in an hour.

The Instacart personal shopper will prioritize your Yummly order for service and delivery. They will collect your ingredients from a nearby store and deliver them straight to your door. This grocery delivery service saves customers from waiting in line at grocery stores or dealing with traffic to reach a local store.

Instacart is expected to flourish as this partnership makes sense as a utility for customers and should turn out to be lucrative. Apoorva Mehta, founder and CEO of Instacart says “Yummly and Instacart are aligned on our technology-driven understanding of food and focus on delighting the customer.”

The new Instacart’s grocery delivery service is available through Yummly for iPhone users in certain cities starting today: Atlanta, Austin, Boulder, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle and Washington, D.C.
