Mayweather Vs Pacquiao: Who will be the King?

He’s taken the both of them on in the ring, and Golden Boy’s Oscar De La Hoya on Mayweather Vs Pacquiao claims the two boxers are both very fast punchers.

But who’s faster?

De La Hoya lost to Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, but it was after his prime and during the end of his boxing career. He lost to Floyd in a close split decision, and Pacquiao put a stop to him in the eighth round.

De La Hoya on Mayweather Vs Pacquiao says they’re speedy boxers, but their speediness is different in the aspects of their boxing styles.

Concerning how fast Floyd Mayweather is, De La Hoya says:

“It’s different kinds of speed. Mayweather is a guy who times you. He’ll throw a fast shot and boom. Mayweather will not throw a combination. He’s not that type of fighter. A three or four punch combination, he’s not that type of fighter.

Floyd is fast, but he’s not a combination boxer, instead Mayweather catches you off guard with his speed. Pacquiao on the other hand is a boxer who throws a flurry of fast punches at once.

On Pac-Man’s speed, De La Hoya says:

“He’ll throw a four, five, six, seven punch combination and [throw it] fast. I would say, today, both guys might be the same. A few years ago, four or five years ago, I would have gone with Pacquiao. Both guys have slowed down a bit but both are still pretty quick. I would have to say they’re even.”

Oscar De La Hoya on Mayweather Vs Pacquiao isn’t giving either boxer the edge on speed, and he claims that they’re about even. The both of them have slowed down, but they still have some of the quickest fists in the world.

Who would you take as the faster boxer, Mayweather or Pacquiao?
