I tweet charts regularly via my Twitter stream which are archived on my Posterous site here. We will pick a chart each day and add our thoughts and insights. We encourage you to leave a comment and share your insights and thoughts about this chart and the implications it may have in your role and for your company.

On August 26th, the Pew Research Center released their report on Social Networking by Mary Madden and Kathryn Zickuhr.

Some observations about this chart

  • We suspect that users are accessing social networks via multiple screens including: their PC/laptop, smartphones and tablets.
  • It is highly likely that users are accessing social networks during work and personal time.
  • Future research could/should include asking what key activities are they doing on social networks and whether they use them during work and play.
