Facebook is finally making it easier to fix unwanted typos on your Facebook Page.

With the new “Edit Post” feature, Facebook will give users the ability to make changes within the text of a post after it is published. Previously, users could edit their own comments, but there was no way to go back to fix a typo or mistake in a post without deleting it.

To edit posts, simply click the down arrow in the top right corner of the post and select “Edit Post.”

The feature is already rolling out on the web and on Android mobile devices. It is expected to roll out on iOS in the near future.

Bottom Line: As small as they might be, spelling errors can really hurt your page’s credibility. A typo is okay, but lots of typos are not. Watch out for some common misspellings, like There/Their/They’re/Your/You’re.

[Study] Nearly half of B2Bs expect to increase marketing budgets in 2014

According to a new report from Sagefrog Marketing Group, 45 percent of business to business (B2B) marketers have plans to expand their marketing budgets in the next year.

The study also looked at the areas where B2B marketers are focusing their time this year:

  • Website – 85 percent
  • Email marketing – 72 percent
  • Social media – 67 percent
  • Search engine optimization (SEO) – 56 percent

Yahoo! will offer “Not My Email” button to report mistaken deliveries

Yahoo! announced this week that they will begin offering a new feature for users who have recently claimed “recycled” or previously dormant email addresses and are receiving messages that are not intended for them.

The announcement was in response to public backlash that the new username recycling program could be putting user’s privacy at risk. This fallout was highlighted by a number of high-profile news stories of users getting emails not intended for them, including personal details and private financial information.

The goal of the button is to not only report unwanted messages, but to also train their inbox to recognize unwanted emails in the future.

Bottom Line: If you’re using email marketing for your small business, it’s important that you’re taking the time to not only grow but also manage your contact list.

One of the easiest ways to keep track of the “health” of your list is to look at your campaign reports, specifically your “opt-outs,” “bounces,” and “spam” reports.

Here’s a quick overview of what these metrics mean for your email marketing:

  • Opt-outs represent the number of people who are unsubscribing from your email list. A few opt-outs here and there shouldn’t set off any alarms. This is a normal part of maintaining the health of your list. But if you are seeing a spike in these numbers, that could be a sign of a bigger problem. Learn more.
  • Bounces represent the number of emails that did not make it to a recipient’s inbox. Keep track of your bounces. If you are seeing the same addresses bouncing again and again, you may want to consider removing them from your list. Learn more.
  • A spam report is submitted when a recipient indicates that your email is unwanted or unsolicited. If you’re taking the necessary steps to receive permission before adding someone to your list, spam reports shouldn’t be a problem.
