FameBox, the network that is working with established and independent talents to build engaged communities around video content has launched a new video blog to strengthen its offering in original content. The talent platform for digital media has launched the new service in collaboration with renowned cricket commentator and public speaker, Harsha Bhogle.
‘Out of the Box with Harsha’ is a video blog series which would feature the interesting insights and in depth views about cricket from the man who is the most popular one from the commentary box. To start with the series has decided to pay a tribute to the God of Cricket who is very soon going bid adieu to the cricket field – Sachin Tendulkar.
The video blogs are being hosted on the YouTube brand channel of FameBox. The channel has already uploaded four videos in the series. These short videos, which are obviously gaining popularity, highlight some interesting moments and anecdotes about the cricketer that the world is not aware of. One of the videos that I liked is the one where Harsha talks about Sachin’s desperation to be part of the Indian team to lift the world cup again. What makes the video special is the way Harsha narrates the story and shares how much effort and sacrifice it took for Sachin to pursue his dream with both his age and injuries catching up.
Going further, Harsha would be posting a new video every week and at the same time would be leveraging his social clout in interacting with fans on social networks.

With this initiative Harsha, who plans to have more informal conversations with fans, is also part of a larger effort at developing his own digital presence that will be launched soon.
The YouTube channel has already gained more than 1.5K subscribers. In fact the move isn’t surprising since during the second week of October, when Four Cross Media had announced its portfolio of offerings with the launch of FameBox, it had revealed that FameBox plans to collaborate with popular and industry leading personalities to launch digital video properties.
Additionally, the network which is incubated in India has plans to roll out to other major Asian markets including Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia over the next six months.
Creating exclusive content for video social networks like YouTube will definitely excite fans to go for it. It would be interesting to keep an eye on the various content the network plans to share going further.
