A new video shows a young woman parading around the streets of New York City while wearing no pants. Hardly anyone notices.
In defense of the people who didn’t notice, she had fake ripped jeans literally painted on her legs and over her thong underwear. The artwork was nothing short of spectacular and included detailed pockets on her derriere.
She gave new definition to the phrase “skinny jeans.”
The video was produced by Model Pranksters in association with Damn.com and Pranksters.com. It was basically an experiment to answer the following question: How observant are New Yorkers?
Not very, is the implied conclusion.
The model in the video, following a pattern of recent viral productions, parades around New York and awaits responses. In this case, however, almost nobody responded.
She walks through busy crowds, enters a fast food restaurant, and boards a crowded subway. The anticipated gasps and catcalls are simply not forthcoming. At least, they’re not shown in the video.
At one point, the model enters a store and asks an employee about the “jeans” that she is wearing.
“A friend of mine gave me these jeans as a gift,” she tells the employee. “She said that she got them here.”
“Those jeans?” the employee asks, pointing at the paint on the model’s legs.
“Yeah. Super-skinny,” she replied.
The employee thought for a bit and then said, “Um, you can check downstairs.”
Downstairs is where that store must sell denim-colored paint.
The model even enters what appears to be a stadium environment. Nobody notices.
Finally, at the end of the video, she goes to an ATM to withdraw cash for what is assumed to be personal reasons. While she’s withdrawing the cash, somebody walks up behind her and uses his smartphone to photograph her butt. As she turns around, she catches the guy doing it and just laughs.
So at least one person noticed.
