Watch: Man Proposes To His Wife With Wedding Ring She Lost 15 Years Ago

A new viral video shows a man proposing to his wife with a wedding ring that she lost 15 years ago.

According to the woman who uploaded the video to YouTube, her mother had given up all hope of ever finding the ring that she had lost.  However, her father recently found it tucked away in a wooden box.

Together with her father, she devised a scheme to reveal the ring to her mother in a romantic way. Of course, it would be filmed and uploaded to YouTube for everybody to see. This is the 21st century, after all.

So, one day when her mother was apparently looking for something in a closet, her father walked into the room and got down on one knee. The mother’s back was turned for several seconds while her suitor was so positioned. She turned around briefly, then turned around again, apparently not thinking anything of it.

Then, she finally turned around again. He was still on one knee.

Finally, he revealed the ring to her. She recognized it immediately and literally fell to the floor, completely awestruck by the appearance of something she thought she had lost forever.

The ring clearly held enormous sentimental value. The couple has been married for 38 years.

The audio on the video is a bit muffled. It’s hard to hear everything that’s being said, but it’s easy to hear her say: “No way! Where did you find that?”

To add to the emotion of the event, the couple hugged for several seconds. She was clearly overcome.

She removed what appeared to be her engagement ring or her replacement wedding ring and put the old one on. And now she’s an Internet celebrity.

“It fits,” she said.

The couple hugged again, and that’s where the video ends.
