Toy: Go Chopstix
Inventor: Chuck Labitan
Go Chopstix is “a racing game in which players using chopsticks to compete against each other to remove toy sushi pieces from a rotating tray the fastest,” according to ABC.
The kid judges are excited to try the game, which Joachim finds very practical. Not every judge finds a need for it, however, since they already know how to use chopsticks. Sydney thinks it’s unique and fun, yet hard. Emma, however, thinks it could get boring quickly. Paxton doesn’t think it would be a popular toy. The toy receives three out of five “yes” votes, sending it to the second round.
Ultimately, Go Chopstix receives no votes and falls just short of the finale.
Hosted by “Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet, “The Toy Box” helps inventors make their toy creation dreams become a reality. According to their website, the inventions are brought before a panel of the ultimate toy-loving judges: kids. The rotating panel features Noah Ritter, Olivia Trujillo, Madison Stevens, Emma Sobel, Sydney Mae Estrella, Adi Ash, Paxton Booth, Kyle Lee, Joachim Powell and Gideon Reynolds. The kids determine which toys make it to the finals and, ultimately, the one winning inventor who will win $100,000 and have their toy sold at Toys“R”Us.
A new episode airs each Sunday at 7 p.m. on ABC.
