Toy: Chainy Charms

Inventor: Lizzy Newsome

Chainy Charms is “a series of collectible and tradeable charms with inspiration from the ’80s and Japanese pop culture,” according to ABC.

The kid judges initially seem disappointed over the toy, but they become more excited when they give it a try. Paxton says it definitely reminds him of the ’80s, which he says is “the best decade.” Noah says it’s more of a fashion accessory, while Olivia likes that they’re collectible. They toy receives four out of five “yes” votes, sending it to the next round.

Ultimately, the kid judges think it’s a very cute, nostalgic toy but feel as though it’s a bit unoriginal. The toy receives one vote, however, it falls to Water Constructor.

Hosted by “Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet, “The Toy Box” helps inventors make their toy creation dreams become a reality. According to their website, the inventions are brought before a panel of the ultimate toy-loving judges: kids. The rotating panel features Noah Ritter, Olivia Trujillo, Madison Stevens, Emma Sobel, Sydney Mae Estrella, Adi Ash, Paxton Booth, Kyle Lee, Joachim Powell and Gideon Reynolds. The kids determine which toys make it to the finals and, ultimately, the one winning inventor who will win $100,000 and have their toy sold at Toys“R”Us.

A new episode airs each Sunday at 7 p.m. on ABC.
