Toy: 3D Liquid Art

Inventor: Ryan

3D Liquid Art is “a fun way to create three-dimensional images out of water,” according to ABC.

The mentors think the idea is very cool. Jen Tan likes that the colors can be mixed, but there are some concerns with the messiness of the water. Dylan Lauren also worries that the colors cannot currently be solidified. She likes the idea, however, and passes it to the Toy Box, as does Jim Silver, despite believing it needs a self-contained unit to prevent big messes. Tan agrees that it’s fun and passes it to the Toy Box as well.

In the Toy Box, the kid judges are very intrigued by the 3D aspect of the art. Sophia Grace Brownlee calls it “a genius idea” and Noah Ritter thinks it’s “amazing.” Aalyrah Caldwell worries, however, that it could be messy and doesn’t like that the artwork can’t be saved. Ultimately, 3D Liquid Art is selected to go to the finals.

Hosted by “Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet, “The Toy Box” helps inventors make their toy creation dreams become a reality. According to their website, the inventions are brought before mentors, including Dylan’s Candy Bar owner Dylan Lauren, toy guru Jim Silver and Pixar creative director of Consumer Products, Jen Tan. If they pass phase one, they then have the opportunity to face the ultimate toy-loving panel of judges: kids. The panel features Sophia Grace Brownlee, Aalyrah Caldwell, Toby Grey and Noah Ritter. The kids determine which toys make it to the finals and, ultimately, the one winning toy that will sold at Toys“R”Us.

A new episode airs each Friday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
