Teen vlogger Romina Garcia has become a viral star, but for all the wrong reasons. The 18-year-old has drawn a target on her own back after posting a video on her Facebook page telling young girls that if their boyfriends hit them, it’s actually because they love them, which is even more of a reason not to end the relationship.
The teen is a self-proclaimed Kim Kardashian wannabe with over 1,000 Facebook followers. It’s a safe bet that most of those are going to unfollow after her latest video in which she states that boyfriends who are willing to lay a hand on their girlfriends and risk arrest are “amazing.”
In her own words in the video, she states:
“That n***** f****** loves you because he’s risking for you to press charges on him, he is risking for you know, you calling the police or you know, he – he’s gonna do time or he’s gonna have to pay money to get out of jail or whatever the case may be. He’s risking all of that for you.”

Garcia then relates to her own experiences of being struck by her own boyfriend, claiming that he once gave her a black eye, though she insists that he didn’t mean it and that it was her own fault. In fact, she claimed she was the one who had to beg him to stay as he was about to leave her. Apparently, her boyfriend struck her because he gave her “an order” and she didn’t follow it.
Romina Garcia attracted even further criticisms on her teen vlog two days later saying that her boyfriend has left her. She added that her next boyfriend better love her enough to put her in the hospital.
Needless to say, her posts went viral, though the comments were from critics rebutting her claims, some of them coming from abuse victims. There were also a few who shared Garcia’s view and praised her for her opinion.
In another post, Garcia also said that if she had a daughter, she would be okay with her having an abusive boyfriend.
If Romina Garcia is hoping to gain fame through her teen vlog, she certainly achieved it, though it’s of the notoriety kind. With this and other recent scandals like the Ray Rice incident, people will certainly be discussing the prevalence of violence against women in the days to come.

This girl is so stupid!!!! Really? He loves you if he hits you? She must be desperate for attention! Wake up stupid girl!!!
As I understood, correct me if I’m wrong, but she broke up with her boyfriend after he hit her. I think she was being facetious.
People need to stop calling her names and putting her down. Instead look at what she’s saying as a cry for help. A healthy person would hear or watch this and feel compassion for her. She could use a good guide to help her understand why she is so incorrect.
