#TeamMiley vs. #TeamKaty: Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus Exchange Digs At Each Other

Is a storm a’brewin’?

It’s been about a week now since Katy Perry and John Mayer broke up.

Again.

But this time, there’s been a good deal of speculation that Miley Cyrus may have had something to do with it. Just days before Katy and John split, she and Miley shared a highly publicized kiss during a show on Miley’s notorious Bangerz tour.

But appearances can be deceiving. This photo has be tearing around the internet and the general assumptions have been that the girls might be more than friends, or that when John Mayer heard about it, he broke up with Katy for “cheating” on him (I mean, really? Do those people know anything about John Mayer, Serial Dater Extraordinaire?).

This morning, Katy appeared on the Australian morning show Sunrise, where she was, of course, asked about the kiss. Her version of the event was a little different than what you might assume, and she threw some punches Miley’s way, saying, “She tried to move her head and go deeper and I just pulled away. God knows where that tongue has been! We don’t know! That tongue is so infamous now.”

Maybe she was speaking off-the-cuff and didn’t mean anything by her words. On the other hand, maybe she is feeling a little resentful toward Miley.

For her part, Miley wasn’t about to keep quiet about Katy’s comments. She got in a few jabs as well:
