Smash Bros New Character

Super Smash Bros for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U could be adding a new playable character, which has been revealed by Masahiro Sakurai in his Pic of the Day. The character in the photo is edited out of the image, appearing to be blurred out except for their shoes, as they duke it out with Diddy Kong.

Smash Bros for the 3DS and Wii U, also known as Smash 4, has already received rave reviews worldwide.

Since the release of Smash 4, Nintendo has been watching their stocks increase as hordes of people go out and buy 3DS’s specifically for the game. Smash 4 for the Wii U comes out in North America at the end of November.

Smash 4 allows up to four players to choose from a huge roster of characters like Mario, Sonic, and Pacman to wail on one another. This is the first entry in the series to come to a handheld system.

Super Smash Bros Sakurai may be revealing a newcomer soon.

Sakurai associates the new character with the NES Zapper, a light gun used for old games like Duck Hunt and Hogan’s Alley.

He says the image he has shown is edited, but the scene that is being displayed is from the character’s reveal trailer. He hints that the character may be rooted in having shooting moves to their disposal.

Then again, this character could very well be Duck Hunt, who’s already in Smash 4. Duck Hunt is comprised of the duo from the game, the laughing dog and the duck you shoot. Duck Hunt is a secret character, and hasn’t been revealed by Nintendo officially, and he wouldn’t be a new addition to the roster.

Super Smash Bros will see Masahiro Sakurai reveal a newcomer. Smash 4 is now available for the Nintendo 3DS, and will be available for Wii U at the end of November.
