Hip-Hop star Nicki Minaj will host and perform at the 20th anniversary of the MTV EMAs in Glasgow, Scotland. The show will take place in November.

MTV announced Minaj’s hosting duties on Tuesday. The performer and former American Idol judge will aksi be releasing her new studio album, The PinkPrint, around the same time.

Just before Midnight Nicki Minaj sent out a tweet about her upcoming gig: “So excited to announce that I will not only perform, but I have the honorable task of HOSTING this year’s #MTVEMA!”

The MTV Europe Music Awards will air at the SSE Hydro venue in Glasgow on Sunday. November 9. The show will be aired globally across MTV’s more than 60 channels. The MTV EMAs  are broadcast to more than 700 million households around the world and it will be syndicated.

Along with hosting and performing at the MTV EMAs, Nicki Minaj has been nominated in four categories: best female, best hip hop, biggest fans and best look.

Katy Perry is the nights biggest nominee with seven nominations, while boy bands 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction, are also facing off at the awards ceremony.

The 2014 MTV EMAs are being executive produced by Bruce Gillmer and Richard Godfrey.
