Treat yo self—it’s National Fast Food Day!
According to the National Day Calendar, National Fast Food Day was first popularized in the 1950s when drive-thrus and ordering out became a staple of American culture. “The United States has the largest fast food industry in the world. American fast food restaurants are located in over 100 countries,” according to the day’s description.
So don’t feel guilty about ordering that cheeseburger, fries, tacos, pizza or ice cream today. Mark the occasion with your favorite fast food item!
