Melissa Jimenez Strikes a Chord With #TeamUsher

Watch out Adam and Blake. As former winning coaches of “The Voice,” I think they both should be keeping their eyes on Team Usher based on the last two nights of performances. Last night, Usher paired up Jake Barker and Stevie Jo Rosenbalm in an intense battle that ended with both contenders making it through the Battle Round. Team Usher proved again tonight that it is a force to be reckoned with in a fiery battle between two powerhouse singers, Melissa Jimenez and Brittnee Camelle. I can only imagine this performance had jaws dropping across the country and thousands of viewers wiping the drool from their faces as these two beauties had a sultry competition that left even some of the judges “needing a moment.”

I found myself rooting for Melissa Jimenez through their entire segment tonight. She seemed so genuine and clearly has a lot of musical talent as seen in her performance tonight. The last note she hit clearly showed the breadth of her range and I think that ultimately nudged her ahead of Brittnee. Have no fear Brittnee Camelle fans. Although she was cut from Team Usher, she was picked up by Team Adam. Although Adam did win “The Voice” last season, he is in a unique position trailing Usher and picking up his cut performers. Adam has now filled his two additional “steal” spots he was alotted by picking up cut Team Usher performers.

Did Usher make the right decision? I think it’s safe to say I’m not the only one that was swayed by Melissa Jimenez’ beauty and charm. Also, she has incredible hair. Ok, ok.. I know this doesn’t translate to her singing skills, but it definitely adds to her stage presence. Alright, admittedly her hair has little to do with her stage presence, but that doesn’t change my opinion on it! Moving on….

I think it’s safe to say when you get a marriage proposal via twitter, you’ve had a successful evening on “The Voice.” So will we be seeing a lot more of Melissa Jimenez? I think so. Not only does she have an amazing voice, she has the strongest coach currently. I would say Ms. Jimenez will be a force to be reckoned with this season!
