Taking home the honor of Best Lead Actor is Leslie Odom Jr. of “Hamilton.”

Nominees included:

Odom’s theatre credits include “RENT,” “Dreamgirls” and “Leap of Faith.” He also has a self-titled album, which was just recently released.

In “Hamilton,” he portrays Aaron Burr, Thomas Jefferson’s first-term vice president. The interactions between Burr and Hamilton eventually lead to Burr challenging him to a duel, which has a fatal ending for Hamilton.

Previous winners in this category have included Michael Crawford for “The Phantom of the Opera,” Harvey Fierstein for “Hairspray” and Neil Patrick Harris for “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.”
