Krispy Kreme Making Reese’s Peanut Butter Doughnuts, Social Media Reactions

There may be no sweeter way to end the week than by discovering Krispy Kreme is making a delectable new doughnut. Krispy Kreme unveiled that they teamed up with Reese’s to make a peanut butter doughnut and peanut butter and chocolate milkshake, which is the absolute perfect pairing.

According to the press release, the doughnut is hand dipped in chocolate icing, filled with Reese’s peanut butter sauce and topped with Reese’s peanut butter chips, vanilla biscuit crumbs and a chocolate drizzle. They were first introduced last year in the United Kingdom and have now made their way to “the lucky country.”

Unfortunately, the doughnuts are currently only available in Australia and the UK, but never fear, a Change.org petition is working to change that. The petition currently has more than 200 supporters who are encouraging people to spread the word with #MakeDonutsGreatAgain. Though it’s not yet available in America, Thrillist offered some reassurance, saying Krispy Kreme “is still serving special edition ‘internationally inspired’ donuts — Crème Brûleé, Tiramisu, and Churro — at its US locations through August 28.”

To hold you over until the moment it’s (maybe) brought to America, the press release features a slider that allows you to get an inside look of the doughnut from both a side view and from the top. It’s not really the same thing but it’s better than nothing and if you must, just grab a doughnut and a few Reese’s peanut butter cups and make your own concoction.
