A viral Katt Williams interview with TMZ, which was posted to YouTube on Tuesday, suggests that Suge Knight was not the intended victim of last weekends pre-VMA shooting. Suge Knight was gunned down outside of a nightclub where Chris Brown was hosting an album release party. The shooting occurred outside the 1OAK nightclubs in Los Angeles on Sunday.
According to reports, Suge Knight was shot six times, but is expected to make a full recovery.
Williams says Knight was protecting somebody else, when he was hit by each of the bullets. When TMZ asked Williams if he knew who shot the former Death Row Records founder, he replied, “I’m pretty sure Suge knows who shot Suge.”
Kat Williams did not identify the identity of the real shooters, but instead added, “Now if you’re an idiot you can believe this was about Suge Knight … Suge Knight has been accessible every day of his life for 20 years. We know who it was aimed at. We know whose life he saved. And we know why they won’t talk about it.”
Williams then told TMZ that the shooting was definitely not gang-related. “If it was gang-related then why didn’t it happen thoroughly? You see there’s parts of this story that just don’t seem to make sense. You’re saying it was gang-related. So, that means somebody’s gang was shooting at somebody’s gang and somebody’s gang didn’t shoot back. That’s your story? That’s not really how gang stuff works, is it?”
The shooting is still under investigation, and it looks like Katt Williams might be brought in for questioning, if he hasn’t been questioned already.
