Kate Middleton is dancing her way through Monday with the help of a beloved children’s book character. In a surprise appearance, the Duchess of Cambridge joined Princes William and Harry at a children’s charity event in London—and shared a dance with Paddington Bear!

The royals and cast members of the film “Paddington 2” gathered at Paddington Station in London to meet more than 100 children from several charities supported by the royal family. The life-size Paddington Bear invited the Duchess to dance on the platform just before the train embarked on a trip through the countryside.

“Today’s special young passengers have been nominated by Their Royal Highnesses’ Charities Forum,” Kensington Palace tweeted. “Many of the children on today’s journey are going through difficult times in their lives.” Once on board, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry visited the children.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge—parents to Prince George and Princess Charlotte—announced last month that they are expecting their third child. The children’s charity event was the second public engagement for the Duchess since the announcement was made. She continues to battle hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition that causes severe morning sickness.

A royal aide told ABC News that while she had not yet fully recovered, her condition has improved. “She is making decisions day to day but is keen to do as much as she can,” they said. The royal made her first public appearance since the pregnancy announcement last week for World Mental Health Day.

At this morning’s event, the impromptu dance between the Duchess and Paddington Bear delighted the hundreds of onlookers. The royals and “Paddington 2” cast, including Hugh Bonneville, also took photos with the children. The official Paddington Twitter account later tweeted, “I really enjoyed my adventure with @KensingtonRoyal today.”
