Major drama is unfolding in the Duggar family, as Jim Bob Duggar has apparently begged producers of 19 Kids and Counting to edit footage of his daughter Jessa’s wedding footage. Oddly enough, the footage Jim Bob Duggar wants edited involves a kiss that didn’t happen.

Apparently Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, did not seal their marriage with a kiss at the ceremony. The couple had planned to have their first kiss in private rather than in front of the families. Jim Bob and his wife, Michele, were just as shocked as the wedding party that the newlyweds didn’t kiss.

My Life As A Stay At Home Mother blogger Ashleigh reveals, “Afterwards, I heard Jim Bob and someone from TLC talking about altering the storyline to make it look like Jim Bob and Michelle were in on it the whole time. It was a surprise to most of us that the children wished to be alone…However, it seemed to be most of all a shock to the bride’s parents.”

Jessa and Ben spent some time alone right after the ceremony where they allegedly shared their first kiss away from cameras or any audience. Most fans seemed indifferent about the fact that Jessa and Ben did not kiss on camera, but it sounds like something Jim Bob and Michele had not expected and possibly would not have agreed to had they known.

The discovery that Jim Bob Duggar was begging the producers to edit footage raises questions regarding what has been edited on the show in the past.

The wedding of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald will be aired on 19 Kids and Counting on TLC some time in 2015.
