It’s time to go bananas because a new trailer has been released for the “Minions” movie. Illumination Entertainment, the animation company that created the “Despicable Me” franchise, released the latest trailer, which teases the villainous adventures that the minions encountered prior to meeting Gru. The movie is set to be released July 10, 2015.

The movie will follow the little, banana-shaped minions through time on their quest to find a master. Specifically, it will focus on minions Kevin, Stuart, and Bob. The trailer introduces the land-roaming minions at the beginning of time, complete with a little “Under Pressure” by Queen. They come across many bosses, including a dinosaur, caveman, and Dracula. Unfortunately, they all end up being accidentally killed by the minions as well. In the case of Dracula, they awaken him from his coffin to celebrate his 357th birthday and open the curtains to let the sunlight in, only to have Dracula turn to ashes. Oops.

Eventually, they come across a new boss 42 years B.G. (Before Gru) at a Scarlet Overkill, voiced by Sandra Bullock, show. The up-and-coming supervillain seeks some evil, well, minions to work for her. Her mission? Steal Queen Elizabeth’s crown. This no doubt leads the minions on an adventure filled with unfortunate, yet hilarious, events. One of the minions is shown dressed in royal garb dropping his mic after an energizing address to the people.

The minions even have some fun in a torture chamber. It includes a guillotine and they’re shown swinging off a noose. The executioner calls them “really unprofessional.” The trailer ends with a thong-wearing minion relaxing in a hot tub with two “bella” yellow fire hydrants.

Assumably, all of their adventures will eventually lead them to Gru. I guess we’ll have to wait until July 10 to find out how their previous origins with villainous bosses will lead them to criminal mastermind Gru.
