Idina Menzel sang Frozen’s “Let It Go” in off key notes during “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest.” Idina is currently in the Broadway musical “If/Then”, so what happened?

Was she too cold? Did she experience stage fright with millions watching?

TMZ posted the video.

Twitter users didn’t excuse her performance and sounded out their opinions on the botched “Let It Go”.

Idina Menzel singing “Let It Go” during New Year’s Eve is just one flub. She’s been very successful as Elsa since “Frozen” came out in 2013. She recently was asked if children recognized her as the “Let It Go” girl.

She told The Telegraph, “It depends on their age. But more than you’d ever think. I remember some of those classic Disney songs from movies, and you knew the character but you didn’t know the person behind the song. But this is different, this is weird. All the little girls love Elsa but they also want to meet me. I think that’s because of social media, and their parents say, ‘Watch this, this is the girl at the Oscars.’

“I’ve been trying to understand why it’s helping me so much, personally. But then I think, ‘Oh, I should give myself some credit – maybe it’s the interpretation of the song that I gave.’”

In November Idina revealed that a “Frozen” sequel was “in the works.”

She said, “Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride.”
“Let It Go” drives some parents crazy.

“Frozen” director Jennifer Lee even apologized for the song. She told the Hollywood Reporter, “A year ago, I’d meet people who, when they found out who I was, they’d say, ‘Oh, we love the songs! We sing them all the time. Now they’re like, ‘Yep, we’re still listening to those songs.’ I’ve gone from, ‘Thank you,’ to, ‘Sorry!’”
