If you don’t know the premise of Baywatch, all you have to do is watch the intro below.
Baywatch has made pop culture icons out of Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff. It also featured stars Brooke Burns, Carmen Electra, and pro surfer Kelly Slater, in its long run from 1989-2001.
We’ve seen Dwayne Johnson shirtless a lot over the years. Some examples are in the ring as the WWE superstar The Rock, and in Pain and Gain as a bodybuilder, alongside Mark Wahlberg. Seeing he meets the Baywatch caliber material, Johnson should fit into his new role perfectly.
The Rock is not the only person attached the Baywatch film so far. Slated to write the screenplay is the duo of Sean Anders and John Morris, who are about to make their debut as directors with Horrible Bosses 2.
You can look forward to seeing Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson saving jabronis from drowning, or maybe some sharks, in the Baywatch film soon.
