The famous WWE wrestler turned movie star has been long rumored, and attached loosely attached to the big screen remake for a while. Tonight, Johnson’s Baywatch role has been confirmed. The Rock is a born entertainer, and has been in plenty of film franchise revivals. His roles include The Fast and the Furious, Journey to the Center of the Universe, GI Joe. and let’s not forget Johnson as a giant CG scorpion man in The Mummy Returns. Paramount Picture’s Baywatch might see The Rock become The Hoff. If you grew up in the 90’s, or you if you’ve seen Borat, you might know of the campy lifeguard series. Now looked at as somewhat of a joke, it holds a world record for the most viewed television show of all-time, with 1.1 billion views.
