Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s Walk of Fame star has been destroyed. The star was vandalized early Wednesday morning with a sledgehammer.

According to Deadline, the star was destroyed by someone dressed as a construction worker around 5:45 a.m. The man, who had a sledgehammer and a pickaxe, “said he was trying to extract the star to auction it off and raise funds for the women who have come forward to accuse Trump of sexually assaulting them over the decades.” An LAPD police cruiser showed up approximately half an hour later, but the man had already left the scene.

The star was originally dedicated in 2007 in recognition of Trump hosting “The Apprentice.” Since then, according to BuzzFeed, it has been vandalized several times. In July, an artist built a wall around the star to mock Trump’s plan for building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border; it has been defaced with graffiti, including reverse swastikas and a mute symbol; and vandalized with dog poop.

According to the LA Times, destruction to the star is considered felony vandalism and “damage to the star is estimated at $2,500.” ABC7 reports that chunks of the star are missing and the brass medallion is gone.
