Nothing screams Halloween like a bright orange “Make America Great Again” hat. President Donald Trump’s jack-o’-lantern-themed baseball cap just might be this Halloween’s scariest costume—and the internet couldn’t help but wonder if the orange hat was actually one big trick.
The limited-edition hat, which has already sold out on the Trump Make America Great Again fundraising committee’s website, features a glowing jack-o’-lantern on the front and Trump’s signature “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan on the back. “It’s Trick-or-Treat time and this MAGA hat is definitely a treat,” the description for the $45 cap reads. Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump even shared a selfie with the MAGA hat and encouraged her Twitter followers to “Make Halloween Great Again.”

Many people took to social media to mock the pumpkin-inspired cap. Some compared the hat’s color to Trump’s unusually orange complexion, while others suggested that it would make for a super spooky (or completely ridiculous) Halloween costume. “It is the right color!! Just needs some yellowish straw hair on top,” one user tweeted. Another wrote, “A pumpkin #MAGA hat for a pumpkin-headed president.” Others simply stated that, due to the MAGA-themed hat, Halloween was canceled this year.
Several people also questioned what kind of “war on Christmas” merchandise would be rolled out for the holidays. According to Money magazine, there will be “some great stocking stuffers” this year for customers who are looking for some extra Christmas spirit.

Another greedy Trump. Should have used Donald's face instead of the jack-lantern — now THAT would be scary! :D https://t.co/RLcRdiNulr
