Kicking off the finale of “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” are Tonya Harding and Sasha Farber, dancing the Viennese waltz to “The Time of My Life” by David Cook.

Len Goodman says Harding danced with “elegance and sophistication,” while Bruno Tonioli calls her rejuvenated and radiant. Carrie Ann Inaba praises her movements, but warns her to watch her nerves. They score a 26.

Harding is a former Olympic figure skater. According to ABC, “Harding won her first skating competition at the age of five. In 1991, at Senior Nationals, Tonya became the first American woman to attempt and land the extremely difficult Triple Axel. Her life story was recently depicted in the award-winning film ‘I, Tonya,’” which tells the story of the Harding-Nancy Kerrigan scandal.

“Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” is hosted by Tom Bergeron and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. The judging panel is composed of ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine who gets to stay and who is sent home as couples vie for the coveted Mirrorball trophy during the special, four-week season.

The finalists are Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon, NFL star Josh Norman and former figure skater Tonya Harding.
