The sixth couple to go home during season 25 of “Dancing with the Stars” is Vanessa Lachey and Maks Chmerkovskiy. Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev were also sent home as part of a double elimination. Drew Scott and partner Emma Slater and Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke were also in jeopardy. Lachey’s husband Nick went home just last week.

In the premiere, Lachey and Chmerkovskiy danced an empowering cha cha to “Woman” and scored a 21 out of 30. Their other dances included a spicy salsa to “Instruction” for Latin Night (23), elegant foxtrot to “Hit Me with a Hot Note” for Ballroom Night (24), affecting rumba to “Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)” for Most Memorable Year Night (24) and charming waltz to “Un Jour Mon Prince Viendra” for Disney Night (24).

Tonight, the duo danced a zombie-themed paso doble to “Game of Survival” for Halloween Night, earning a 24 out of 30. They were also part of Team Phantom of the Ballroom, the winning group for the team dance round. Their average score throughout the competition was 24 points.

Chmerkovskiy has been a “Dancing with the Stars” pro for 17 seasons. His other partners have included Laila Ali, co-host Erin Andrews, Amber Rose, Heather Morris and Meryl Davis—who won the Mirrorball trophy in season 18.

According to ABC, Lachey is a 1998 Miss Teen USA winner who has since hosted or served as a correspondent for several television specials. “For two seasons, Lachey was the New York-based correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, the #1 syndicated entertainment newsmagazine in the world. During her time with Entertainment Tonight, she reported on the latest news regarding music, film, television and fashion.” She will be competing against her husband Nick.

The star-studded lineup for the 25th season of “Dancing with the Stars” includes former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, Hamilton’s Jordan Fisher and “Property Brothers” co-host Drew Scott. Other stars include Victoria Arlen, Nikki Bella and Frankie Muniz. Fan-favorite pros Mark Ballas and Cheryl Burke also return to the dance floor this season, along with hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

The judging panel features Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine which couples will go home and which ones will advance to compete for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. on ABC.
