The next couple to go home in season 24, falling just short of the finals, is Simone Biles and Sasha Farber. David Ross and Lindsay Arnold were also in jeopardy.
Tonight, the couple has an all-around perfect evening for the semifinals, earning a perfect 40 in both rounds. They danced a sparkling jive in the first round for the Judges’ Challenge after being paired up with Carrie Ann Inaba, who encouraged Simone to dance more freely. In the second round, the couple danced an inspirational rumba to “Skyscraper,” which was influenced by her Olympic journey.
Simone Biles and Partner Sasha Farber Eliminated
Their other dances have included a sassy samba to “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child for Boy Bands vs Girl Groups Night (35), timeless Charleston for Movie Night (37), breathtaking contemporary to Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “How Far I’ll Go” from “Moana” for Disney Night (38) and sparkling quickstep to “Viva Las Vegas” for Vegas Night (32). Their very first score was a 32 out of 40, the highest-scoring dance of the premiere. Their average score throughout the competition was 36 points.

Not surprised Simone went home. #DWTS fans are a tough bunch & after last week, I was afraid she hurt herself.

The fact that some less than stellar baseball player just got into the finals over @Simone_Biles is RIDICULOUS. SLAY ON SIMONE. #dwts
— Rob (@ElderPoptart) May 16, 2017
I would've rather seen Normani go home than Simone! Normani is a singer/dancer she does it for a living! Unfair advantage. #dwts

According to ABC, Biles, 19, “is already considered one of the best and most decorated gymnasts in the history of the sport. She was adopted by her grandparents at a young age, and they have been a major influence in her life, introducing her to the sport of gymnastics. She was always jumping around at a young age and was introduced to the sport on a school field trip to Bannon’s Gymnastix at the age of six. While she trains close to 35 hours per week, Biles knows how to keep things fun and is known for inventing new skills during training.”
Now in its 24th season, “Dancing with the Stars” is hosted by Tom Bergeron and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. The judging panel is composed of ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine who gets to stay and who is sent home each week as couples vie for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
The remaining contestants include Normani Kordei with Val Chmerkovskiy, David Ross with Lindsay Arnold and Rashad Jennings with Emma Slater.
The two-night “Dancing with the Stars” finale airs next Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively, on ABC.

Dancing with the stars is so wrong and unfair their is no way David Arnold should have beat Simone she had a perfect score and has scored higher then him the whole show. This is crazy
NO David should have been gone weeks ago. I don’t care that he is a dad and won the World Series. He can not dance.
Crazy! Will not watch DWTS final without Simone. She was and is the best! Dumbest move ever!
Dance judges should have more weight than baseball fans that know nothing about dance
I don’t think any professionals should be in the competition
Not dancers or gymnasts
DWTS needs to be cancelled!! The way they score is so ridiculous. Why should viewers get to vote?
You have professional judges. Isn’t that enough to decide if deserve to move forward?
