After a hot night on the dance floor for “Latin Night,” Amber Rose and partner Maks Chmerkovskiy were eliminated tonight in week six of the competition. In addition to Rose, Calvin Johnson Jr. and partner Lindsay Arnold, as well as Jana Kramer and partner Gleb Savchenko were in jeopardy. Rose said she had a really good experience, citing her shyness as an ongoing issue throughout her time on “Dancing with the Stars.”

The model and television personality has had her fair share of troubles this season. She struggled to gain traction on the leaderboard, averaging a score in the mid-twenties each week. Tonight, she danced the cha cha to “Bla Bla Bla Cha Cha Cha” by Petty Booka after going through a tough week fo rehearsals. She walked out during one rehearsal, becoming frustrated over Chmerkovskiy’s, at times, harsh teaching methods.

Amber Rose and Partner Maks Chmerkovskiy Eliminated

She also clashed with judge and former “Dancing with the Stars” pro Julianne Hough after Rose accused her of body shaming. Hough had commented that she “felt uncomfortable” after watching Rose and Chmerkovskiy’s “Booty” salsa, and Rose said she felt body shamed. Hough later clarified her comments, saying:

“My ‘uncomfortable’ comment was about the fact that I felt like I wanted more out of the performance — when someone is doing a hot, sexy dance like that without the right amount of energy that is required, it can be uncomfortable to watch.” The two later cleared the air the following week.”

Rose apologized for the misunderstanding. She was also at the center of a rumor that stated she was involved in a love triangle with partner Maks and his fiancee Peta Murgatroyd. Murgatroyd later laughed off the jealousy rumors.

Her previous dances have included a samba for “Most Memorable Year,” which she dedicated to the empowerment of women and her son Sebastian; a sexy tango during Cirque du Soleil night; and princess-like foxtrot in week one, in which Rose wore a sparkly dress to perfect the princess persona.

Social Media Reacts to Amber Rose and Maks Chmerkovskiy Elimination

According to ABC, “Amber Rose is a proud mother, activist, entrepreneur, spokesperson, talk show host, model, actor and published author from Philadelphia, PA. MUVA, as she is affectionately known, has quickly become the unapologetic face of neo-feminism. Initially, accredited mostly to her striking appearance and keen fashion sense, the former Ford Model’s rise to massive popularity is now largely attributed to her controversial yet impactful voice on women’s issues. At the core of the Amber Rose brand is her non-profit, The Amber Rose Foundation, dedicated to women empowerment and equality.”

Now in its 23rd season, “Dancing with the Stars” is hosted by Tom Bergeron and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. The judging panel is composed of ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine who gets to stay and who is sent home each week as couples vie for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

This season’s star-studded line-up includes Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez with Val Chmerkovskiy, actress Marilu Henner with Derek Hough, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte with Cheryl Burke, former NFL wide receiver Calvin Johnson Jr. with Lindsay Arnold, actress Maureen McCormick with Artem Chigvintsev, reality TV star Terra Jolé with Sasha Farber, country singer Jana Kramer with Gleb Savchenko, and IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe with Sharna Burgess.
